Is it possible to use Infopath form to create a .xml file out on a network share?

Author: I have a file template in XML that I need to simply modify certain variables and save. This seems like something Infopath could do. The program upon submission needs to simply drop a new file containing this info within a template of data.

Yes, just make sure that the connection to your network share remains open and that you have the appropriate permissions set.
